Play Responsibly

LAST UPDATED / 2026-08-14

This page is not here to sell you anything. It covers the things nobody else tends to mention.

In real money games the house always holds a mathematical advantage. Over enough play, most players finish down. That is not bad luck, it is the design.

Keeping losses limited

  • Decide an amount you can lose without it affecting your life, and stay within it.
  • Set a time limit too. An alarm on your phone helps.
  • Chasing losses is the single biggest danger. After a loss, stop for the day.
  • Never play with borrowed money or money meant for the household.
  • Do not use a credit card or someone else’s account.
  • Do not play when angry, stressed or intoxicated.
  • Do not treat this as an income. It never becomes one.
  • Keep a weekly record. Most people do not remember what they have actually lost.

Warning signs to stop

  • You are hiding how much you have spent from your family.
  • You are staking more than before in order to win back losses.
  • Your sleep, work or studies are suffering.
  • Bills, rent or household costs are falling behind.
  • You have borrowed money in order to play.
  • You have tried to stop and could not.
  • You feel restless or irritable when you are not playing.
  • It has caused arguments at home.

If two or more of these are true, it is time to stop. Request self exclusion on your account, uninstall the app, and talk to someone you trust.

If things feel harder than that, speak to your doctor. There is nothing to be ashamed of. This is a common problem and people do come through it, but it is difficult to do alone.

Practical steps

  1. Stop depositing

Remove the payment method from the app.

  2. Request self exclusion

Send support a written request and keep a record of it.

  3. Uninstall the app

And turn off any related notifications.

  4. Talk to someone

A family member, a friend, or your doctor. Hiding it makes it worse.

  5. Add up the total

Write down what you have actually lost. It is the hardest step and the most important one.

Can I close my own account?

Most platforms offer self exclusion or account closure. Send a written request to support and keep a record of it.

I think this is becoming a problem. What should I do?

The first step is to stop and to tell someone you trust. Speaking to your doctor is also a reasonable step.
